Battle of Ocean Pond/Olustee
This event has been held every year since 1976. It commemorates the largest Civil War Battle in Florida. It draws thousands of reenactors from all over the country. This was the second event I documented with photographs. I had not yet begun to write reports on the events and was still learning about the reenacting world. This was also the first time I attempted to assemble panoramic photo's. The park is on US Rt. 90, 15 miles east of Lake City and 50 miles west of Jacksonville. It is a wonderful place to visit, eerily quiet most of the year and comes to life each february when the thousands of reenactors and spectators gather for the event.
